KEY RESPONSBILITIES:

• Define, execute and document manual and automatic verification tests for new products.

• Fully participate in the product lifecycle for Molecular Device market-leading colony picker, plater reader products to offer competitive product quality to our customers.

• Use agile development tools and methodologies within a lean software development process.

• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the product meets the requirements for quality, stability, reliability and regulatory demands and manufacturing.

• Collaborate with global teams to drive synergies across common software test tools and strategies.

• Ensure the compliance with the professional code, company policies and regulations.

• Lead the reliability test for both hardware and software.

• Collaborate with system engineer to define verification plan and software test plan.

• Work with software engineer or technical support to reproduce and debug issues in existing products.

• Occasional customer / site visits & training

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Masters or good Bachelor degree in Software Engineering, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or equivalent. • 3+ years’ experience in automated software testing.

• Solid knowledge of unit testing, integration testing and function testing. • Experience in using test automation frameworks and scripting languages to create and maintain automatic tests suites.

• Experienced in using tools for test definition, execution and documentation.

• Good documentation skills to create test cases, defect reports and test execution reports.

• Ability to analyze and understand complex technical relationships and systems.

• Experiences with agile development methodologies and tools, preferably Scrum.

• Strong focus on high quality, stability, and reliability of the whole system with software.

• Experience working successfully in a team environment. • Results oriented – has track record for delivering results, takes ownership and is accountable.

• Work to deadlines and respond effectively to satisfy customer requirement.

• Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures in English. • Strong communication skill (Both English and Chinese) & self-motivated.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficiency in system level test experience

• Experience working on an Agile team

• Experience with Script language, like python

• Experience with the following would be a plus: Automation product development Design Verification & Validation experience
